Presumably it got better than 2008, but not sure. For 3k, if it runs, it's a deal. 2010 EX-L 4cyl - 216,000 miles: vtc rattle 80% of the time on cold starts. Steady 30 mpg most of the time. No other major mechanical issues in my time of ownership (150k > current) I have a 8th Gen V6 with 250K miles.
