Just draining the old fluid, without removing the filter, will drain at least 6 quarts, and probably closer to 7 if you let it drain for ~ 30 minutes. I drained (& measured old fluid) 7 quarts when I drained & then removed pan & filter. You need Dexron VI which costs ~ $50 for 4 liters. Get TWO 4 liter jugs.
